One is American, a Cardinal from Michigan, one is an African and one is and Italian. I figure the Italian has the edge if this is correct info. jdn

What I am reading is that it will be a Pope from a spanish speaking country. No chance for an American, too "modern" and won't go over well in the rest of the world. This is the last chance for an Italian. They have gone from dominating the church to a rapidly dwindling minority. So it will be a "Third World" Pope.

Don't expect a "modern" Pope. The third world types are all very conservative.
