Bird flu can also cause hemorrhagic fever. The case in Thailand widely quoted as the best example of human to human transmission was misdiagnosed as Dengue hemorrhagic fever.

The 1918 pandemic flu did the same thing (in the United States also).

You will get a chance to see it up close and personal. It's not an if, just a when.
