Excellent post Laz. You explained everything clearly and intelligently. My objection to the entire mess is that we should allow assisted suicide. There would have to be a lot of safeguards in place but to allow human beings to suffer as I have witnessed when they plead to die is the inhuman thing. Morphine is a great way to go.. I certainly would never never want to be Terri and the only consolation I have is what you state that she could feel nothing. Her vegetative state was comparable to being dead.
