Gottfried, No, it does not have finger print recognition. But, neither does it have an ignition switch operated with a key. Uses a similar button to the Prius. Has glass breakage alarm, and a engine shutoff if stolen. It has unbelievable electronics.

If other have the Limited Avalon maybe they can share the electronics in it. Mine has not come in yet. I felt I got a good price paying $500 over manufacturer invoice.
