'In few places in the world do conditions more demand that two peoples develop a symbiotic relationship; in no other place are the chances of building such a relationship more remote.'

Yes, wryly amusing the quote over lost Uganda, but the above lines capture the situation in whole .... it doesn't have to be that way, and, given the current structure of powers, palestinians are the only ones in a position to change it

To win, palestinians must lose ... they must lose any ideas of a military solution, an approach that has never worked for them, and will never work [duh!] ... in so doing they will lose the condemnation of civilised peoples, who view the blowing up of children as barbarous proof that they are not fit to govern themselves

They must lose any and all desire for ethnic exclusion ... this means losing their ignorance, willful or otherwise, of the status of Palestine as a central cradle of humanity, of multiple families of religion and ethnicity ... it means losing their denial of the basic human rights of jews, christians, all other religions, agnostics, even atheists ... speakers of a variety of languages ... brown ones, pink ones, black, yellow, doesn't matter - many non-muslims have legitimate claim to inhabit this land, and it would be a good idea for a palestinian nation to encourage others to visit, subject to practical considerations of course ... there is much to gain from losing that ancient hatred

Then they would have their Reconquista ... simple matter of recognising that this is the twenty-first century, and not the seventh ... times change, and you change with them, if you want your children and grandchildren to thrive on a world that is more tied together every day

It wouldn't hurt to recognise Gandhi as the messiah, or a new prophet, or something .... this should be quite safe posthumously, with an intelligent committee being able to draught a sensible scripture without interference from the main protagonist .... and they might consider interviewing Schwarz here for a position on that committee, he sounds like a reasonable guy

Marry each other's sisters, you frickin idiots! ... ahem ... cheers
