Tencor offers the Prometrix UV-1250SE, using spectroscopic ellipsometry, for the measurement of thin film stacks. This comes from a Tencor press release on May 14. Someone else will have to comment on a comparison between Therma Wave and this product. By the way, does anyone know about the lawsuit between NANO and TNCR? (mentioned in TNCR's 10K report several months back) That could figure on this sort of TF measurement product. I don't get concerned about tech lawsuits in general, but I wonder if NANO might prevail in a significant way on this one.
