Imagine the mischief that will happen when Pulsed Energy Projectiles (PEPs) are released on the world. I imagine the state will maintain a monopoly on these weapons and prevent private ownership. Currently, the things weigh 500 pounds and have to be fastened on top of a vehicle, so they're not feasible for private use anyway. One more step in the direction of fascism. Unfortunately, these measures will be necessary to quell the massive riots and uprisings that accompany the oil crash. Those that had the foresight to predict this were ignored and ridiculed when they tried to warn us that we needed to wean ourselves off of fossil fuels (Hubbert, The Club of Rome, Jimmy Carter). Although it's easy to blame the government or big oil, this is the path we chose for ourselves. Awesome profile by the way. Jesse
