Shack, I think that the best way to explain the overall look - and the "threes" on the daily INDU - in the end - will be that the fifth on that index started at the same time as on SPX - last August - but, being that the DOW was weaker, it shaped out as an ED, with a weak last wave.

This would explains best the fact that the advance from October to late December looks so much like a freakin' "three". This bothered me all along.

I think I'm putting this version on the front burner. The March decline becomes the first leg of the next trend, and we would be due for a bounce, maybe even a strong one, to spook the bears... and then... many charts would fall into place (and Mr. Market would turn out to be a reasonable fellow... -bg).
