To satisfy the criteria of "the "enemy within" who have taken the key positions in the US", two conditions must be met:

1. The "enemy within" is someone who has been touted as great ally and best friend rather than someone from a communist country or even from France, which the authority hates.

2. The "key positions" means the officials in these positions enjoy great power to make decisions in foreign policies or in the key military or spy/security departments who handle sensitive documents for the nation.
