The Syrian Regime Faces Collapse

By SWLiP

While on my cruise, I fell into a discussion with some of the regulars in the ship's cigar bar. Every one of them had obviously learned all they knew about the Iraq war from "Fahrenheit 911," so when I announced that the Iraq war was an intelligent move that would reap excellent long-term strategic benefits for the United States, I could almost hear a pin drop, except for the voice of a woman saying, "He's joking again, right?"

The discussion that followed was somewhat predictable, but remarkably civil. One prediction I made during the discussion was that, if Syria was forced to pull out of Lebanon before the Spring elections, the Assad regime would collapse before the end of the year.

Seeing as Syria has now committed itself to withdrawing by April 30th, I am making my prediction public: The Assad regime will collapse by the end of this year.

You read it here, first (perhaps)
