Not strange at all. They stood up to the Soviet Empire together, and it fell. It was truly evil, and now it's gone.
America has done some incredible things, too. We were there. And we are here, now.
People in Eastern Europe know what we did, and they are grateful. We were, and remain, a beacon of hope in a dark world.
