SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 4, 2005-- Net2Phone (NASDAQ: NTOP - News), a leading enabler of VoIP solutions for service providers, and Motorola (NYSE: MOT - News) today announced that they have expanded their joint relationship through Net2Phone's certification of the Motorola VT1000 voice gateway as a preferred endpoint on the Net2Phone VoiceLine(SM) broadband telephony solution for cable operators. The companies made this joint announcement at the 2005 National Show (NCTA) in San Francisco, where live demonstrations of the VT1000 with VoiceLine service are being held at the Net2Phone booth #6250 from April 3-5, 2005. Net2Phone and Motorola currently have a joint marketing agreement in place to sell end-to-end PacketCable-based telephony to cable operators. With the expanded relationship, Net2Phone and Motorola now offer a comprehensive SIP-based VoIP platform that supports improved security, QoS and end-to-end reliability for cable operators as they deploy the Net2Phone VoiceLine solution to their customers. Net2Phone VoiceLine broadband telephony service enables cable operators to deploy residential broadband telephony solutions complete with features and functionality such call waiting, caller ID and voicemail. In both SIP and DOCSIS environments, Net2Phone seamlessly integrates its front and back office systems, including its billing platform, into the operator's infrastructure, facilitating a unified bill for video, high-speed data, voice and other services. Additional features include web-based tools allowing subscribers to manage their telephony features online as well as check their voicemail.
