Friends

Everyone that lives on earth
Must play a special role
As individual as a thought,
As separate as a soul.

But when our thoughts are put in words
And to the world made known,
Manuscript, book or verse
Cannot be done alone.

Thought and deeds may dwell apart
But when a line is penned
However dear, a thought cannot
Appear, without a friend.
