I don't think everyone has the same experience with doctors and dentists that you have had, Ish. At least where I live, doctors do tests to determine if anything is wrong, and you can read the results of your tests, and get a second opinion, and usually choose from several treatment options, etc. Medical care is a partnership between you and your doctor. A diagnosis of diabetes, for example, is the result of specific tests. I don't understand the experience you are relating, and it sounds like really bad medical care.
