Today was the last day for comments on the State Department’s controversial proposal to put RFID chips into all U.S. passports and the passports held by the citizens of the 27 countries whose citizens that are not required to obtain U.S. visas. Considering the privacy issues involved, I am surprised that there have not been more objections. This proposal probably would not have flown in a pre-9/11 world. Message 21197759
