I think they are telling you the truth because the IRA is a tax shelter investment set up under your broker. In order to give you the certs the investment would no longer be tied to your IRA since essentailly calling in your certs is like buying a television and taking it home. The stock IS your certs and is no longer in an account. That's ok, you can still ride the train. we're calling for ours.
