Re: Doesn't that make him 79?
Perhaps... Lustiger is said to be 78 --I didn't bother to check it since it's still below 80, the age limit to be a "voting Cardinal". I could give you scores of clues pointing to the election of Cardinal Lustiger as the next Pope:
>>Vatican pundits claim that a long (papal) reign is usually followed by a short one... Well, if Lustiger is elected Pope at 78+, he's not likely to put in another 25 years at the Vatican!
>>Lustiger is West European and that's exactly what's called for to kickstart Christianity --and the Catholic church in particular-- in Western Europe, a "pit of iniquity", crawling with atheists and Muslim immigrants.... Who needs an African or South American Pope anyway? I mean, think of the Catholic church as the religious equivalent of the Coca-cola Company: it doesn't make sense to allocate all the company's marketing and advertising resources on its growing markets! You rather need a CEO who will focus on the sluggish markets and flush out new growth and "customers"....
>>Nobody talks about him, you won't find Mgr Lustiger in any "Papabile shortlist"... Lustiger? Oh, he just retired, didn't he? Indeed, he retired from his Paris archbishopric, not from his Cardinalship....
>>Last but not least, the US administration badly wants a Zionist Pope to sell its impending war against Iran: I expect Pope Lustiger to be the Pius XII of the next World War: he won't play the anti-Muslim warmonger but, like Pius XII vis-a-vis Nazi Germany, his silence will prove even more eloquent... And then, the US has some strong incentive to "pack" the next conclave: the billions of dollars the Catholic church will have to pay to US accusers in the pending litigations (about sexual abuse) before US courts. So, here's the deal: elect Lustiger and we'll whitewash your record.
