Idaho has 1.4 million citizens.

Trenton NJ has 85,000 and Newark NJ has 300,000. I believe John lives between the two cities.

With a fraction of the population, both cities maintain a much higher murder rate than armed Idaho, both statistically and in real numbers.

It looks to me like John should shift his worries about the armed Wild West to the unarmed Wild East where he lives.

Even the NYT is beginning to understand these statistics.
