I too had to have my first marraige annulled for the purpose of getting married in the Catholic Church. What is SO ODD about it, is my first wife INSISTED on being married in the Catholic Church, then converted to being a Presbyterian. I was a Presbyterian and converted to being a Catholic. Weird eh? Anyhow, she too wouldnt go along so the Church appointed a Priest to represent her and I brought in witnesses who knew her well to testify as regards her. I dont think though it makes the child a bastard, even in the eyes of the Church. jdn
