I am not a church goer or bible thumper and my political leaning is definitely right...BUT even I figure that there was something wrong in the Schiavo case.....and while there was ANY doubt about her state....IMO there should be a presumption of making the decision is favor of preserving life....I don't attribute any evil motives to Mr. Schiavo but I think it is strange that he would not let her family care for her. It raises another question or doubt in my mind and therefore again, I would err on the side of preserving the life. Finally, a feeding tube does not seem to qualify as an extraordinary measure to me....she could breath on her own and seemed healthy otherwise. I can see both sides of the argument and you make soem good points, I just think we should always err on the side of preserving life.
