Elmo - Here are the Edgar insider sells.....

stocksmart.com

NOVELL INC.

Filed by Title Action Shares Price Date Report Form
Trans. Date

NOVELL INC AFFILIATE Sell 528,269 $7 07/24/97 08/25/97 144
and we know about Marengi's sales....
JOSEPH A MARENGI PRESIDENT AND COO
Sell 22,710 $8 06/10/97 07/31/97 4

Also according to Dwight there were 5 sales reported in the Wall
Street Journal ("...It was 5. That's what initiated my post. I went
to Edgar and found zero filed electronically..."
techstocks.com

Now, Who were those "Affiliates" that sold and reported (8/25/97)
electronically on the Edgar system????

Why did the other 5 insiders report using the paper system? (Note I
have not confirmed this but it is based on Dwight's and Vip's
posting...I assume it is accurate)

I think there are still quite a few questions that remain unanswered.

Elmo - It just does not smell right. I am still long Novell on 1,500
shares (sitting in my IRA at an average price of $13) but it is not
encouraging for this shareholder to see those affiliates sell....I
expected Marengi to sell.

My concern is what will the shorts do now??? That was the reason for
my previous post. You have to agree that the balance of the data
is not at all positive. If our upper management was either (1) not
selling or (2) buying at these levels, it would be some what
positive.
