"In general, there is a single trier of fact. The rest are appeals and procedural matters."

That is my most serious point of contention. There were
enough serious problems with that critical aspect of this
case that Congress passed a law requiring a de novo review.
That would have caused a completely new finding of facts.

The courts ignored this requirement & they did not rule the
law unconstitutional.

Was that too much to ask?

We give death penalty cases more due process than we do
innocent citizens who are incapable of speaking for
themselves.

I'll say it again. I would not wish to live if I was in the
same condition that Terri Schailvo was in. That does not
allow me to project my firm beliefs onto her or to diminish
her status as a human being to justify starvation &
dehydration as the means to end her life.

There is something inherently wrong with all of this.
