"Theory here would have it that I should sell my house, buy a new car, pay for the dental work and then buy my house back cheaper in a few years with the leftover windfall from the RE bubble." Would a reverse mortgage work also for those qualified? Get the bank to give you a reverse mortgage for the appraised price, live like a king until its time to croak ,and let the bank worry about the left-overs!
