Dennis,

You have to wonder why gasoline inventories continue to fall in the face of increasing refinery runs - up to 93.7%. What happened to our spring time build? Oh - CNBC reports gasoline supplies should be dropping this time of year.

We're increasing imports but can't see how we can meet gasoline demand for the summer without higher prices.

It was interesting watching a stock like VLO take off after the report.

Demand is going strong

Over the last four weeks, motor gasoline demand has averaged 9.1 million barrels per day, or 1.9 percent above the same period last year, while distillate fuel demand has averaged 4.3 million barrels per day, or 4.6 percent above the same period last year. Kerosene-type jet fuel demand is up 9.4
percent over the last four weeks compared to the same four-week period last year.
