It would be nice to see a good study on the matter, but there isn't one. (at least not that I could find) All you would need would be a large study of greyhound adoptions of racing animals, from all tracks, worldwide- and then compare the satisfaction of those owners with people who adopted greyhound puppies that were never raced. It would be a simple thing to do, and would get us out of the realm of anecdote, and the personal experiences of folks- because personal experiences can often be misleading (sometimes due to no fault on the part of the experiencer). Odd things happen, and some people experience things in statistically bizarre ways.
