CJ, Was there anything illegal or unethical in this fund raising activity? Nothing illegal. Unethical? Not really, though it does expose shortcomings of McCain-Feingold campaign finance reform. My point is that Byrd is like Delay: fair game in the world of politics. Why? Has Byrd in the last ten years misused campaign funds, or put his family on the political dole? Has Byrd threaten judges, or used Homeland security to track down errant GOP legislators from WV? We know he was once a member of the Klan. What other bad things have you noted? ted
