Laz, over on The Thread of the Milk of Human Kindness, they are discussing Greyhounds as pets who were formerly used as racing dogs and why that usually doesn't work out. The dog I was telling Bill about was Trudy, the Wire-Haired Fox Terrier. You saw the photograph of Trudy and Ralph and me, the same photograph which caused my veterinarian to comment, after listening to The Saga of the Adventures of Trudy, that she figured Trudy had been a show dog who had outlived her usefulness in the show ring and had been abandoned to fend for herself. Doc said that this happens more than most anyone would ever think. I know that when I found Trudy as a stray, I tried every conceivable avenue to find her owner, to no avail. - Holly
