Yeah, that's the other side of it ... you follow a thing for years, think you get to know it, then you're offside the day it reaaally moves ... Frankly mentions fgx.v back a few posts, well after years of watching and a series of mildly profitable in-and-out swing trading, the day the Glamis deal came down i was about two-thirds out of Francisco ... aargh ... then, sold it at the twelve fifty or whatever, the next day or day after, could have gotten double that by waiting a couple of months, and gotten the ckg spinoff as well .... aaaargh ... then the same to some degree with ckg, bought some 1.18s or so, swing traded a bit, then wasn't watching when its best moves came, missed a whole 1.50 rise without one share ... yes, it can go that way
But i am real glad i blew out the cpt on that spike to 1.25 -g- ... got back in at less than half the high-.90s proceeds ... so it can go the other way too |
