Classic case of projection.

There are many groups who respond in opposition to autocratic style government in different ways. They are not the same and they are not all un American. America was founded in reaction to the autocratic style of England.

Civil liberties are the essence of what makes America great. And the ACLU's defense of those liberties is much more American than the autocratic, oligarchical activities of someone like Tom Delay.

Tom Delay is a crook. He has broken the rules. He should be held to account.

I know a person like you may not appreciate protection of the liberties Americans enjoy. But that is what the ACLU does, and it's as American as your right to whine about them is.
