It looks like you COULD buy a greyhound puppy, but there are significant obstacles to doing so. From reading the link below, it looks like they are hard wired for racing, regardless of when you get one. Of course, one reared by you from puppyhood would not have been confined to a crate for most of the day, or fed contaminated raw food. But even for past racers, they are generally good natured and gentle dogs.
