I am not an authority on Ireland, just as Ish is not an authority on trends in international agriculture and you are not an authority on greyhounds. I hate the concept of a bunch of experts on different subjects sitting around pontificating about them. I thought I established that with all the bruhaha over kholt and liberarianism. I think it makes the debate very boring. Everyone at SI has something they know a lot about, or maybe a very sweet personality and the gift of gab, or an excellent sense of humor. All of those are very valuable, and lovely for different reasons. I do not expect anyone to defer to me on the subjects I know a little about--cooking and child rearing and animal rights and Ireland come to mind. Nor do I expect to be ridiculed as a cubicle inhabitant or whatever when I challenge someone on a subject--any subject. And that goes for everyone here--no pulling rank because you fancy yourself an expert. No condescending. I can't stand that arrogant attitude stuff.
