Slacks, I cannot fathom that...

...the USB drive was essentially unheard of back in 1998 (perhaps because USB itself
was a relatively new concept at the time!) and now has pulled itself up by the bootstraps
to become the top selling product category. One would think that digital film would still
be the #1 producer.

There were several on this thread way back when who used CF with a PCMCIA adapter like a pocketable
storage drive. I remember taking my lectures with me in my hip pocket on a 64MB SanDisk CF and a matching
type I PCMCIA adapter only to be met with bewilderment when I plugged it into the dedicated laptop
at the lecture hall. Most even piggybacked their own laptop on the lecture podium while the audience
waited for the device to boot up. USB drives were hatched by the need for simplicity.

THANK GOD FOR PLUG 'n' PLAY COMPATIBILITY!!!
(and for the built in controller in CompactFlash!)

This year, 2005, we will see stable digital film and USB sales as a backdrop to the exploding
MP3 market and the nascent cellphone market. I think the investment community will respond to this
potential. We are already seeing a run-up into the Q1 report.
