IDT/Ireland;
Toucan is also a partnership with T-Mobile (owned by Deutsch Telecom);
IDT has an unannounced, signed agreement with a tier 1 mobile carrier working in the U.S. – for partial rollout in 2005, and complete rollout in 2006 (U.S.), per IDT’s last conference call … (there are only three tier 2’s in the U.S.; so it’s probably T-Mobile).

Sligo to benefit from jobs bonanza by Cróna Esler Western People
On Thursday last, two areas in the North West received a huge injection of hope and prosperity when it was announced by the Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment, Mr Michael Martin TD, that 423 new jobs were to be created in the region.
Of the 423 jobs, the majority will be made available in County Sligo, where 300 new customer service positions will be up for grabs, while 123 high quality software development jobs will be created in Donegal, which will come on stream within the next three years. The announcements were both supported by the IDA.
In Sligo, employment will be through Toucan, the consumer telecoms business of IDT Corporations. IDT Corporation, through its IDT Telecom subsidiary, is a facilities-based, multinational carrier, which provides a broad range of telecommunications services to retail and wholesale customers worldwide.
Toucan acts as the consumer telecoms brand of IDT Europe, which is part of the IDT Corporation, an international telecoms, entertainment and technology company. The Toucan product range includes ToucanTalk and the ToucanSurf range of Internet access services. The ToucanMobile service is planned for launch later this year.
The Sligo branch will be the second Irish operation for IDT, whose European calling card business has been headquartered in Dublin since February 2000. The establishment of Toucan’s customer support centre in Ireland will be pivotal to its developing operations in the United Kingdom and across Europe.
