Jim,

Although dilation may increase a patient's time at the center, it should have no effect on patient volume per laser. Generally, while one patient is being treated the next patient is being prepped. Anybody who ties up a surgical suite while a patient is dilating needs to go back to practice management 101.

Also dilation has a beneficial anti-inflammatory effect which I think most surgeons will hate to give up even if the laser can track without dilation.

In the case of a mobile center, you may have a point. I don't know how much space they have. But if a mobile center can't process more than one patient at a time, it is just another reason for not having them.
