FROM ONE FRANK TO ANOTHER:

Kudos, MAN!!!

I stand corrected. I have placed several opinions
in various brokerage threads on SI extolling the
ostensible virtues of National Discount Brokerage.
Having recently moved my account to NDB, I have
not traded as often (summer) and assumed quick
executions and fine customer service were their
objective. Last Friday, a very high volume day
of rallying stocks, I placed an order at the open
(took at least three minutes on hold) and said order
was not executed until 9:42. While on the phone, the
trader was so slow that I lost a 1/4 while he fumbled
with his PC. Furthermore, when I called to sell,
I waited at least 10 minutes. Having a 3/4 gain, I
watched the bid fall 1/2 below purchase and fortunately
rise again in the interim. When I finally sold, the
trader complained of 'lots of days like these' and
was very disinterested in hearing about the 3 ring
guarantee.

We all know 1 billion share days are right around
the corner for the NASDAQ. NDB will be unavailable
you can rest assured. Like calling a friend you know
is not home...

And as to MR. HOWARD SIEBEL, the NDB employee who
established a thread here on SI, WHERE ARE YOU NOW?
WHY DON'T YOU RETURN YOU E-MAILS?

The NASDAQ was designed with the individual investor
in mind. Justice must be served and these brokerages
must be made to stand by their promises.

I am currently researching a brokerage on Long Island
that has developed a SOES/SelectNet interface for
instant executions. If you are interested, go to
www.vlcn.com and check out the NASDAQ Level 2 link.

Best of Luck

regards,
frank
