TechieGuy-alt, We are witnessing an "inflection point" here in the history of x86 servers.

Which begs the question: AGAIN?

I don´t know for how long you´ve followed this stock, but I have done that for quite some time, and hardly a day has passed without a similar claim. Ok, next, you´re going to tell me how this time it´s different.

This from a post just days ago:

In its nearly two years on the market, the AMD Opteron processor has gained more than 5 percent of the worldwide x86 server market according to Gartner Dataquest

Should we really reach and pass such an inflection point, then market share figures and CPU revenues will reflect that in a big way. Server CPU ASPs are still very good, and AMD has the production capacity, even Dell admits that. Something that "history" has taught *me*: Don´t count your chickens before they hatch. Especially not if you hold AMD shares (which I think you don´t, iirc).

It´s up to the customers out there to determine Opteron´s success, not you, and certainly not me.
