You could theoretically get charged a $50 annual fee for
the account. But for me, my 401k is with them so
the fee is waived. There are numerous other ways
to get the annual fee waived.

Just a month or so ago I saw that they were charging $20
(my bank wanted $75)
and I was all set to go to TDirect. Then at the last
minute I saw that they started waiving the auction fees
for online trades (still charge for phone assisted but
I can't see why anyone would want that).

I participated in Monday's auction and have my orders in
for next Monday. So far so good. The rates or so low
that any fee at all would be horrendous.
