Clarification: Anatolia Clarifies April 6, 2005 Copler Gold News Release Friday April 8, 4:28 pm ET
TORONTO, ONTARIO--(CCNMatthews - April 8, 2005) - Anatolia Minerals Development Limited (TSX:ANO - News; "Anatolia") provided an update of its March 2005 drilling activity at its 100%-owned Copler gold project in Turkey in a news release issued April 6, 2005. To clarify, Anatolia acknowledges that the April 6, 2005 news release was not pre-filed with Market Regulation Services Inc. as required in the TSX Company Manual, Appendix "B". This news release provides clarification on several matters as disclosed in the April 6, 2005 news release. The maps attached to this news release will be posted to Anatolia's web site (www.anatolia-minerals.com). The April 6, 2005 news release made reference to a "bonanza zone" and provided drill results for three related holes. Holes CRC-263 and CRC-293 were newly announced drill results. Hole CRC-1A was originally announced in a news release dated August 1, 2001. Drill results for these three holes are summarized as follows:
Drill Total From To Intercept Au Drill Hole Type Depth (Meters) (Meters) (Meters) Gpt Marble Contact Zone CRC-1A RC Hole 129.0 11.0 40.0 29.0 2.9 40.0 66.0 26.0 27.0 66.0 93.0 27.0 2.4
CRC-263 RC Hole 206.0 46.0 49.0 3.0 2.3 49.0 55.0 6.0 188.2 55.0 73.0 18.0 0.7 137.0 157.0 20.0 6.8
CRC-293 RC Hole 120.0 1.0 24.0 24.0 3.7 24.0 35.0 11.0 23.4 35.0 48.0 13.0 4.5 48.0 98.0 50.0 3.2
All three holes are part of the Marble Contact Zone, with hole CRC-1A being the most northerly of the three holes. CRC-293 is approximately 50 meters south of CRC-1A, and CRC-263 is approximately 100 meters south-southeast of CRC-1A. To place the results of these holes in context within the Marble Contact Zone, reference is made to the inferred resource as estimated by Hellman & Schofield (see Anatolia news release dated December 2, 2004). In the Hellman & Schofield report, the Marble Contact Zone was estimated to contain 4,093,230 tonnes at 3.87 grams gold per tonne (gpt gold), using a 0.7 gpt cutoff. While the terms "bonanza" and "zone" are commonly used within the geologic community (see Dictionary of Geological Terms, Third Edition, Robert L. Bates and Julia A. Jackson, Editors), it is not defined within the context of the TSX disclosure standards and objection was taken to use of the term "bonanza zone" in reference to the 6 meter interval averaging 188.2 grams (6 Oz.) ! gold per tonne. Therefore, Anatolia is rescinding use of the term "bonanza zone" from its description of the preceding drilling results.
Anatolia is also providing additional information to clarify and further describe the gold-bearing manto in the Manganese Mine Zone as discussed in the news release of April 6, 2005. The table below provides a summary of the holes drilled to date that were used to delineate the manto:

(i) Denotes lower manto intercept.
The gold-bearing manto continues well beyond the central portion of the Manganese Mine Zone encompassing the holes tabulated above, with similar contact-type mineralization being encountered in CRC-281 and CDD-086 (400-500 meters west of the existing manganese mine pit) and CRC-294, 300 meters to the northwest. East of the existing manganese mine pit, drilling is testing possible extensions further to the south. The current delineation of the manto averages approximately 33 meters in thickness at 4.2 gpt gold and is generally thicker in the central area, where it frequently exceeds 40 meters in thickness (e.g.: CDD-61, CDD-85, CRC-15, CRC-249, CRC-261, CRC-287, etc.). The manto appears to terminate sharply to the north, as the intrusive apparently pinches out, while generally getting thinner as one moves to the east, south and west of the central area of the manto. Richard C. Moores, President of Anatolia, stated, "The manto comes to surface at, and east of the existing mang! anese mine pit. It dips to the south at approximately 25 degrees until passing west of the pit, then dips at approximately 35 degrees as it continues along a southerly trend. We believe the outcropping manto mineralization on the east may be favorable for any potential development and we will consider this as part of our ongoing feasibility study. Recognizing this manto will greatly assist in the search for additional good grade mineralization in the Manganese Mine Zone and should provide a sound geologic basis to be used during our next update of the gold resource."
Anatolia has been engaged in minerals exploration in Turkey since 1996. In January 2004, Anatolia obtained 100% interest in the 4-million ounce inferred gold resource at Copler. Anatolia is fast-tracking work at Copler to achieve an early production decision for an open pit gold operation for the shallow leachable oxide portion of Copler. The Company also controls approximately 1.1 million hectares within Turkey, including four properties currently under joint exploration with Rio Tinto. The Rio Tinto agreement continues through 2007 and requires payment by Rio Tinto of expenditures for grassroots programs, specific prospect costs in which Rio Tinto is participating, and portions of Anatolia's Turkish field office expenses.
Anatolia currently has 49.0 million common shares issued and outstanding, 57.7 million fully diluted.
This news release may contain forward-looking statements in respect of various matters including upcoming work programs and events. The results or events predicted in these forward-looking statements may differ materially from actual results or events. Anatolia disclaims any obligation to update or revise any forward-looking statements, whether as a result of new information, future events or otherwise. Assays are performed by OMAC Laboratories, Ireland, and ALS-Chemex, Vancouver, BC, Canada, with quality control of sampling, preparation and assaying overseen by Anatolia, whose President, Richard C. Moores, is a "qualified person" for the purposes of applicable Canadian securities regulations.
