How often is intellignece not gathered by human assets on the ground concrete? For that matter, how often is any intelligence concrete. Bush chose to allow the CIA, DIA and FBI interpret the data. He did what responsible people do every day, he listened to them. The spin is not working.

Nice attempt at spin. Everyone admits there were WMDs in Iraq. What Saddam did with them is the question that is mostly unanswered. Are you claiming that the chemical WMDs that Chemical Ali used on the Kurds were a figment of their imagination? Are you claiming the whole scud missile systems with ranges in excess of the allowed maximum found in European scrap metal yards are fictional? Please! And the mobile chemical labs are still not conclusively proven either way.

You seem to have a difficult differentiating editorials from truth. Opinion is opinion, whether yours, mine, Rush's or the FMSM's. You persist in disbelieving anything said by centrist or rightist opinionators, and believe as truth leftwing opinions. This is the crux of why I distrust the FMSM. They have adopted the ideal of presenting stories with the intent of brainwashing gullible readers into the conclusions they wish made. Just twenty years ago, journalists felt obligated to present the facts, and let the reader / viewer decide. The Fox slogan is "We report, you decide." to the extent they adhere to their ideal, you would be better informed by watching them instead of the FMSM.
I'll leave you with a popular adage........where there's smoke there's usually fire. And there is a hell of lot of smoke pouring from RNC's headquarters. How long do you think you can keep blaming everything on the media? Crass memos; crass and corrupted leaders; a phony and costly war; out of control pork spending; a weak economy; spiraling oil and gas prices; etc. The media is not responsible for these messes.
There is a bit of hear being generated by Democrats Nuclear Option in the Senate. Republicans are behaving in a gentlemanly fashion there; Democrats are behaving like spoiled children. I could go on. Gas prices are a reflection of market conditions. You might prefer a communist system where government sets prices. This is the logical outcome of the unprecedented growth in government spending during the Clinton years, followed by a tragic attack which magnified the recession Clinton left President Bush with. Deficit spending and our countries preference for imported goods have caused an imbalance of payments. The resulting decline in the dollar forced sheiks to raise the price of oil.
