Not a bad article. We had best prepare for the situation to get even worse. The ability of medicine to sustain life that cannot sustain itself will only get better. That means the estimated 30,000 Schiavos around now could become 300,000 or 3,000,000 in 50 years. Combine that with a gov't dominated by "pro-life" and the situation simply becomes impossible. Theoretically, you can reach a point where your entire GDP is poured into such cases. What do you do for those people who are completely curable in that case?

Maybe Canada does have it right. At some point you HAVE to say "NO!"
