Festus, if the autopsy on Terri Schiavo establishes that in fact her higher brain was liquified from that time it was starved of oxygen when her heart stopped beating for several minutes, and just filled with spinal fluid like most doctors think, would that possibly change your opinion that she had some self awareness? I'm really interested to see what the autopsy reveals. In other words, do you accept that if that part of her brain didn't exist anymore, it would be impossible for her to be in the state you think she was in? Most humans and mammals stop eating and drinking at the end of their lives. It is the most common way everyone dies, and always has. If I understand you correctly, your issue is that it is wrong for people to "pull the plug" on their relatives when they get to that point, or is it something else?
