What I thought I said is that some of the people I like, or like discussing things with, also like people I don't like at all. None of the people who are my friends--which would imply some contact off the public boards at SI and actual warm feelings towards each other and some kind of relationship over a significant period of time--say bad things about me at other threads.
Did ManyMoose verbally and violently attack you here tonight? If so, I must have totally missed it. If you had animosities with him from the past, is it possible that you could have dealt with them in a way besides attacking him here tonight? How many years can you hate someone who is a cyber moniker, anyway? You have all the wide open spaces everywhere to go to without running into those people, and the Ignore button as well as your tool.
When you say "I have tried to get along with these . . 'people', if I can call them that . . ." is it possible that you could consider for a moment that by lowering yourself to a level where you could think like that, the most despicable people have won? You've become just like them if you can really think like that.
I just don't want to be so cold. Of course they are people, even if I don't like them, and I also accept that reading each other's words can be quite polarizing and that under different circumstances we might feel differently about each other, if we met in real life or lived next door to each other or worked at the same company. Something else might attract us to each other. I accept that this is a very unreal world without all the senses and the ways people read each other in 3D availaible, and try not to make polarizations even worse. So I don't monitor them constantly or think about them all the time or give them my energy. I can just ignore all of them.
I really have to operate this way or my body will be spewing out all the chemicals of stress and anger and hate that would end up making me upset and sick all the time, and taking all the energy away that I need to live my life, and more specifically, to share it with the people who I see and touch and love. Any other stance on how to survive here just doesn't make sense to me, and I just won't be here if it's continually nasty and armed camps. |
