Dan3, Dell has a point: If Opteron has about 5%, Intel has the remaining 95% of the server market, then Dell can rightfully claim that the majority of their customers are not demanding Opteron. Same for IBM and everyone else. If Opteron can´t take off with the existing wins, there´s no reason for anyone else to adopt it, especially with the sweeteners INTEL offers to them. Here´s hoping that dual-core can create the necessary hype for Opteron to make a difference.
