Trucks, where would we be without them ... gotta get a dependable one, that is not yet rotted out, keep choking on the ridiculous prices and unnecessary frippery on the new ones though .... Cummins makes a good engine, i've had a couple in the iron collection at times, so there is a leaning toward the Dodge, probably will get one of those ... not in a rush though, as there seems a possibility of serious downturn in the truck-building industry, and maybe they'll offer a better deal, and a more plain-jane sensible vehicle .... did you know that Rudolf Diesel designed his engine to burn vegetable oils? ... peanut oil, but a variety of others biodiesels would work fine, he believed this was a better way to go than to rely on imported petroleum
Vimy Day today, eighty-eight years ... got chores up the ying yang and then a dash to the airport, pick up the wife and kid, but definitely will stop in and have a beer with an old-timer to whom Vimy was especially important [though he wasn't there, long story] ... we didn't really become a nation that day, we had been one for many years, as we knew full well, it's just that others came then to realise the fact
