While other developed countries have taxed gas and used that money to build fast and competitive public transportation, we have done everything to insure that Americans remain dependent on the price of gas. Not boasting. Just stating facts.

Z is complaining about higher gasoline prices, so is he willing to pay double our current prices to incentivize people to use public transportation?

It wouldn't take double but then you know that. People who are opposed to public transportation love to use an astronomical figure when talking about the price gas would have to bumped up to in order to build a good public transportation system in the US.

It isn't that we don't have it; it is that nobody wants to use it because gasoline is so cheap here. But to hear Z tell that isn't the case.

In most American cities, public transportation stinks both intracity and intercity. Where its good, reliance on autos has been reduced. Were the gas be priced at comparable levels to those in Europe, use of public transportation would increase dramatically.

The Left, as usual, is all over the place.

If by that you mean we are flexible and innovative and progressive, then by all means......your statement is correct. The left is the best thing that has happened to this country!
