French votes count. So do the German's, the Italians, even the People's Republic of China. Also what makes you think that getting a V.PCM standard is in Rockwell's interest? As long as Rockwell and 3COM have the dominant proprietary standards, it sures keeps the host processing modems from gaining ground and eliminating a lot of silicon as long as there is no accepted standard. What has to worry 3COM is the fact that K56flex is gaining ground fast with plenty of cheap commodity priced modems while Rockwell has the high ground with the highest percentage of servers being delivered by world class heavyweights Ascend, Cisco, and Bay for instance. The six month market lead has expired, K56flex now works as well as X2.
