Why would they do that? I'm not sure. Because they can? To fool smokers into thinking their cigarettes are lit when they are simply glowing? Maybe someone with more of a science background could think of the reason. I wonder if firefly DNA in tobacco is harmful in any way, though, or dangerous to the survival of our species.
