Bob and all,

Well, one down. I wonder what they'll be screaming about tomorrow?

TAIPEI, Sept 5 (Reuter) - Taiwan manufacturer Umax Data
Systems Inc (TW:2348) said on Friday it had reached agreement
with Apple Computer Inc (NASDAQ:AAPL) to allow Umax to use the new
Macintosh OS 8.0 edition.
"Apple agrees to continue authorising Umax to use the new
Mac OS 8.0 edition, and Umax becomes the world's only firm that
can sell whole series of Mac-compatible computers," Umax said in
a statement.
Both sides will hold talks about further cooperation in
developing and marketing desktop and notebook computers, it
said.
Umax and its U.S. unit Umax Computer Corp are among several
Asian manufacturers licensed to design and make Mac-compatible
"clones" that run on Apple's popular Mac OS operating system.
