One stop sources for readers of this thread to explore the "Bermuda Triangle".

The point of these revelations is that these companies have AAA ratings and little equity to back up the big obligations they have "should things go bump in the night".

Plus they engage in non-stop manipulations and cover-ups (lies) of problems. They are in effect more Enrons. The credit rating outfits like S&P and Moody's are totally corrupt as well. The whole ultra leveraged financial system is highly dependent on these corrupt, dishonest outfits. Just read through the litany of stories and you'll get the picture. What little oversight (Shelby, Spitzer, the SEC, even Greenscam) that takes place tends to be more butt covering exercises for the history books than anything.
