I do not know how many KwHR's it would take to recharge an electric car overnight but i would guess it would be a lot, of course, depending on state of discharge.I worked in a pop factory when i was teenager, and there was an electric forklift there..it worked the whole shift moving palets of pop around and could almost keep up to its larger propane sidekick.It was plugged in to 220 volt charger at night.
If you only pay about a dollar in gas to commute to work you must either live close to work or drive an efficient car.
